About Us

Well, what's to say about the Gang? We started coming together sometime in the middle of year 2000 because most of us work for CP Ships, or used to, or are room mates of, or went to school with, etc. This is almost like one of those Hollywood everyone is linked to everyone else in some way sort of scenarios, six degrees and all that jazz.

Someone can correct me on this, but it seems that Chris, Tara and Alyssa all worked on the same floor. That's pretty much how they became introduced. Chris and I attended one of those Mercuri classes at the Tradewinds, so that's how we met. He then introduced me to Tara and Alyssa. Trey used to work for CP Ships and was Chris' roommate, naturally he came into the mix early on. Tara and I then met Neil and Jeff H. because they all play on the company men's softball team. I already knew Hoff due to a finance project we were working on together. Ruthie knows Neil and Tara and I first met her when we all went to lunch together.

Okay....let's see. Courtney is a lifelong friend of Tara's and was her roommate too. Melanie and Jeff A. also work for CP Ships and knew Neil because they all live at the same apartment complex which is where Alyssa used to live. Heather works on the executive floor and lives there as well, the apartments, not the office. So by then we had a whole group from the Post in the Gang.

At some point we started adopting more and more people....Chris brought Karen from Gainesville and she now lives in Tampa; Karen introduced everyone to Kevin and Kimmy; Chris and Kevin introduced Tim and I to each other; Timmy brought Doug and Roxie to the fold. Courtney and Tara brought Rob with them to Guavaween; Tom grew up with Chris in NYC; Neil keeps bringing various nephews, Justin at New Year's and Josh at Tara's party, Trey and Noelle grew up together....Reed and Trey have been friends for a long time.

Then along came Melissa, who also works at CP Ships and started as a friend of Michele's in the geek department. Melissa was a natural fit for the completely nutty gang. She picked up Ryan and Brian at O'Brien's one Saturday night, so now the parties include another couple of great guys! Samantha worked with Alyssa at CP Ships, so she and Dave join us whenever they get the chance. Yes Sam is the one with the BOOBS that we all envy! LOL!
